Marco went out on Jersey Oyster’s mussel barge, fished some of the special “Bouchot” mussels, and cooked them straight out of the water. “A really good day was had by all, and everyone is now looking forward to the programme screening, and some really positive response to this very fresh local product” said Steve Luce, company director.

This purchase consolidates Jersey Oyster’s position as the Islands leading shellfish producer and exporter, and will secure an expansion programme for the next 5 years. Jersey Oyster are hopeful that in the next 2 years they will be able to relocate to new purpose built premises.
La Duchesse finally resumes operations

During 2008 La Duchesse will also be available for cruising and fishing charters, as well as her usual freight runs around Channel Islands waters.
