Waste shells can be crushed and used as a soil additive, which aids plants to utilize fertilizer far more effectively, and is also very useful in the fight against blossom-end rot in tomatoes. Crushed oyster shell can also be used as an additive in chicken feed to provide essential calcium proven to strengthen egg shells.
